Happy February!

Thankfully things have calmed down a bit since last week! I had a very relaxed weekend here in London, probably good since in the next few weeks I'll be gone quite a bit! Friday night we went out with some of the girls from the flat above us and that was definitely fun. Saturday I ended up sleeping in, which I truly needed, and then met up with my uncle's niece Hege (so semi-cousin) and her fiance Espen for dinner. It was so wonderful to meet her! Both of them were so great and easy to get to know, I'm very thankful to have met them it was a fun night! I think I am going to visit Hege and her parents in Norway this spring.

Sunday I met up with Eric and some of his friends to check out the Natural History Museum. It was insanely packed with parents and their very small children, needless to say I likely ran over a few attempting to walk around and look at the exhibits. I really enjoyed the museum though especially the dinosaur exhibit, it's insanely huge!! You have to 'queue' up and then follow the path to walk through, not much wandering on your own haha but we saw lots of stuffed animals... like lots... I would describe it as the sad version of the zoo? but there was a bunch of other science exhibits about the world, geology, meteorology, ecology, yes all the ologies pretty much covered, thankfully I skipped most of the entomology part!

Monday just worked allllllll day
Tuesday morning I worked, then I met up with my Modern Britain class at Westminster station for another walking tour. I just adore this teacher he's got so much knowledge of London it's fascinating. He took us along the river then to where the remains of the Whitehall palace was, sadly there isn't much left, it was the biggest palace in London's history. We walked through St. James's Park as well, which I love, it's absolutely beautiful, can't wait until it's warm enough to just sit out and read a book. After class I headed to my theatre class to learn a bit about the play we were going to see later that night. We went to A Flea in her Ear by George Feydeau. It was absolutely hilarious! The theatre was simplistically beautiful. Kevin Spacey is the artistic director at this theatre which is called the Old Vic. I would definitely recommend this play so fun! The acting is honestly brilliant.
Wednesday: Today I slept in a bit then had class, then picked up a couple of hours at work and finally had my internship seminar. Tonight was nice and relaxed. Alex and I started to finalize our plans for Spring Break! We are flying into Salzburg, Austria first. For all those who don't know this is the place where the famous movie The Sound of Music is filmed where the von Trapp family is from! And yes I am going to go on a tour of it, I convinced Alex haha then from Salzburg we are taking a train to Prague. After a couple days in Prague we are heading up to Berlin to end there. I am beyond excited all the places have their own beauty and fun sights, should be a great week!
Tomorrow I am just going to work and go to class then pack for Paris! We are heading out extremely early Friday morning. Bus to the coast then ferry across the channel! Just like in A Tale of Two Cities... gosh I love that book. So yes I am very excited :) I'll blog again after the trip!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far! I miss everyone at home, please email me about your lives I feel like I live in alternative universe so I love to hear about how all my friends/family are doing at home!
